HPLD COVID-19 Safety
In order to protect our staff & patrons, Harvey Public Library District has made several changes to our day-to-day operation related to the COVID-19 crisis.
Temporary Library Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm,
Friday & Saturday: 12:00 – 4:00pm
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) acknowledges the closer you are to others, the greater the need to wear a mask or face covering to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
To demonstrate our commitment to the safety of our community, all staff & patrons will follow the CDC guidelines of wearing a mask or face covering, which includes a full length face shield, when in the library
All HPLD staff is required to wear a mask or face covering while helping patrons.
We Are Requiring Patrons to Wear Masks and Use Hand Sanitizer.
Children are welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. There is a one (1) hour limit to be in the library. Masks or face coverings are required on children unless in arms or seated in strollers. There is a limited number of computers available for children and teens. Once the number is fully in use, we will ask that children/teens return at a later time/date. Lingering in the library is not allowed at this time.
Enhanced Cleaning Procedures
We are working hard to keep the library clean. Increased cleaning procedures have been implemented.
We have placed reminders throughout the library to encourage people to remain six feet apart from each other. In addition, we have placed dividers and floor markings in the areas of heaviest traffic to implement safe distancing.
For those who feel uncomfortable coming into the library or wearing a mask or face covering, take advantage of our curbside service.
